MDM® Mobile Bearing Hip Replacement Surgery

MDM Bearing SurfaceTwo of the most important characteristics of a successful Total Hip Replacement is restoration of joint stability and joint range of motion. Dr. Harwin helped design the MDM® (Modular Dual Mobility) system that provides stability by using a very large head component that articulates with a large inner diameter socket. By virtue of the size of the head it renders the joint extremely stable so that active patients can engage in recreational and sports activities. The large size head also allows for a full normal range of motion unable to be achieved with other implants. Dr. Harwin will discuss with you about various options for Total Hip Replacement and determine if you are a candidate for the MDM®.

Dr. Harwin discussed the MDM total hip implant system, reported by NBC, ABC and Fox News.
